What is Matriculation Collegue?
The Malaysian Matriculation Programme (Malay: Program Matrikulasi Malaysia) is a one or two year pre-university preparatory programme offered by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia. Starting 2005, the selection process for the programme is done through a race-based quota system, where 90% of the places are reserved for Bumiputera students while the remaining 10% are open for Non-Bumiputera students.

Kolej Matrikulasi Selangor (KMS) was opened in May 2010 starting with the academic session for the batch 2010/2011 students. The colleague was built in early 2008 and it is the 13th matriculation colleague in Malaysia under the Bahagian Matrikulasi, Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia.

KMS is located in the 90 acre area at Kampung Kathong, Mukim Jugra, Banting. The location of the campus is about 7 km to the west from Bandar Banting, 55 km from Kuala Lumpur, 20 km from KLIA and 40 km from Putrajaya.The campus is located near to a few training institute and education such as Pusat Latihan TUDM, Institut Latihan Perindustrian Kolej Komuniti and Sekolah Sains Banting, and also surrounded by a few main cities such as Shah Alam (40 km), Klang (30 km), Port Dickson (90 km) and Morib (14 km).

KMS can place up to 3,000 students in full board at 5 residence blocks that have perfected with many facilities including the hostel for the students, study rooms and recreation rooms. At the student resident block, it have 3 cafeteria that provide catering services for the students. The students and the staffs of KMS can do their religious activities at the mosque located in the middle of the campus that can fit up to 2,500 people. The mosque also can hold the Friday Prayer for the students and staffs and also for the other institute students and the villagers around the campus. A student center has been built to control all the affairs related to HEP or Hal Ehwal Pelajar which the counselors, assistant director of examination and assistant director of HEP are located there.It is completed with many facilities such as ATM machine, HEP counter, cooperative shop and student activity center.

To implement the teaching process, it have 6 lecture hall completed with LCD projector, screen, and more that can fit between 150 - 250 students.It has 2 large lecture hall and 4 small lecture hall.It also have 52 tutorial room with 19 science labs for the students and lecturers. A 2-storey library that contain 7 computer labs and 3 language labs equipped with Internet connection, WiFi and other latest equipment.

For science courses:
-Module I (Core subject: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics)
-Module II (Core subject: Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics)
-Module III (Core subject: Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics)
Account courses:
-Accounting (Economic subject, Accounting, Business Management and Mathematics)
There was two programs for Science course:
PST (one year program)
1) One year learning, then you will connect to degree, God willing.
2) You will work hard for a year with a little dense schedule.
3) Fast learning, good time management can be said to be needed.
4) The exam questions are a bit easier than PDT
PDT ( two year program)
1) Two years learning, so you will learn more calm and relax.
2) Exam questions a little bit harder than PST
